The TEXAS STATE GUARD is an organization consisting of mostly-unpaid soldiers (except when called to State Active Duty) that steps in for the National Guard when they are on a Federal mission. An active, drilling soldier can receive up to 12 credit hours FREE TUITION per semester for up to five years at any Texas public institution. Go HERE for details.
