IMPORTANT

  • Participation in the TXSG Physical Fitness Program or Test is strictly voluntary.  It is not mandatory to be involved in any physical fitness activity offered by units of the TXSG.

  • Troops do not have medical coverage from the State of Texas while participating in a TXSG Physical Fitness Program or Test.

  • All members must be in good physical condition to participate in the TXSG Physical Fitness Program or Test.

  • The OIC, NCOIC, or medical personnel have the authority to restrict any member from participating in any physical fitness activity.

  • The standards listed above will satisfy the TXSG requirements for the TXSG Physical Fitness Ribbon.

  • For more information about the Army Physical Fitness Training Program, see FM 21‑20.

The TEXAS STATE GUARD is a mostly volunteer organization that steps in for the National Guard when they are on a Federal mission. An active, drilling soldier can receive up to 12 credit hours FREE TUITION per semester for up to five years at any Texas public institution. Go HERE for details.
